11:33 - Poor Ibuki! That whole fight sequence was so bizarre. The quick little scuffle between Sakura and Momoko, really wasn't that big of a deal. It's the kind of thing that happens when 2 chimps want the same blanket. What made this different was Ibuki getting involved, since I don't think he realized the 2 females were going at it with each other, as he was playing with Plum near the hammocks. He ran over there to mommy Momoko based on pure instinct. Even the baby's have an ear for what the different chimp vocalizations mean, and whenever they hear the fighting calls, the baby's always run to their mothers for protection. The problem here was that Ibuki ran directly into the worst spot possible - right between Momoko and Sakura, who were fighting each other. Momoko totally freaked out when she saw him there, and made all those desperate gestures to lead him to get behind her. Once she got ahold of Ibuki and brought him up the ramp, I think she really scared the poor little guy with those desperate calls she was making, which were probably designed to get one of the adult males to protect them. I highly recommend watching the whole sequence at one quarter speed - slow motion. It's a great vid over all by PB!
Great analyzation, I took your advice re .25 speed.ty! Always amazing to me that they can go from complete mania, to picking their nose and eating it in 1/2 a second
Sakura is pretty smart. I look at her and compare it to last years "Bon Bon is freezing" video and you can easily see which one will ascend in the evolutionary chain.

good explanation, I also noticed that Sakura stopped as soon as he came, she wouldnt want him hurt at all

I was just surprised that momoko backed down and flipped out so much. I really didn't think sakura scared her at all.
Wow, that was intense! I just love Ibuki and was amazed that he knew it was his Mom in trouble...

Poor Momoko. She's protective of her babies. I heard Peach killed one of her infants. She's not to high up in the chain of command.
